Lip Filler
Expect 24-72 hours of swelling and tenderness. Some bruising can occur and may take up to a week to fully settle.
Do
- Apply a clean cool compress for 10 minutes at a time on the day of treatment.
- Sleep on your back, slightly elevated, the first night.
- Drink plenty of water and eat soft, non-spicy foods for 24 hours.
- Use Arnica gel or tablets if bruising appears.
Don't
- No lipstick, lip balm, or makeup over the lips for 12 hours.
- No kissing, dental treatments, or pressure on the lips for 48 hours.
- No flights, saunas, steam rooms, or sun-beds for 48 hours.
- No alcohol, caffeine, or strenuous exercise for 24 hours.
What's normal
Swelling peaks at 24-48 hours and settles over the following days. Lips may feel firm, uneven, or have small lumps for the first week as the filler integrates — this is normal and not the final result. Final settled appearance is usually visible at 2 weeks.
