Aftercare

Caring for your results

How you treat your skin in the hours and days after a treatment shapes the result you'll see. The guidance below covers everything you need — and we are always one message away if you have a question.

For Every Treatment

The first 24 hours

These apply to every treatment we offer. Your specific guidance is below — start here.

  • No alcohol for 24 hours — it thins the blood and increases bruising risk.
  • Avoid strenuous exercise for 24 hours. A gentle walk is fine; the gym, sauna, and hot yoga are not.
  • Sleep elevated on your back the first night where possible — this minimises swelling.
  • No makeup over the treated area for at least 12 hours, and longer where advised below.
  • Avoid touching, rubbing, or massaging the area unless we have specifically instructed you to.
  • Keep it clean — hands washed before any skincare, gentle cleanser only, no harsh actives (AHA, BHA, retinol, vitamin C) for 48 hours.
  • Skip flights, saunas, steam rooms, and sun-beds for at least 48 hours.
  • Drink water, eat well, and get a proper night's sleep — your body heals fastest when it is supported.
By Treatment

Specific aftercare guidance

Find your treatment below for tailored guidance on swelling, downtime, do's and don'ts, and what's normal versus what to message us about.

Lip Filler

Expect 24-72 hours of swelling and tenderness. Some bruising can occur and may take up to a week to fully settle.

Do

  • Apply a clean cool compress for 10 minutes at a time on the day of treatment.
  • Sleep on your back, slightly elevated, the first night.
  • Drink plenty of water and eat soft, non-spicy foods for 24 hours.
  • Use Arnica gel or tablets if bruising appears.

Don't

  • No lipstick, lip balm, or makeup over the lips for 12 hours.
  • No kissing, dental treatments, or pressure on the lips for 48 hours.
  • No flights, saunas, steam rooms, or sun-beds for 48 hours.
  • No alcohol, caffeine, or strenuous exercise for 24 hours.

What's normal

Swelling peaks at 24-48 hours and settles over the following days. Lips may feel firm, uneven, or have small lumps for the first week as the filler integrates — this is normal and not the final result. Final settled appearance is usually visible at 2 weeks.

Anti-Wrinkle Injections

Tiny injection points may appear on the skin for 30-60 minutes. Effects begin in 3-7 days and reach full result by day 14.

Do

  • Stay upright for 4 hours after treatment.
  • Use the muscles in the treated area gently and frequently for the first hour (frowning, raising brows, smiling) — this helps product placement.
  • Continue your normal skincare from the next day.

Don't

  • No lying flat for 4 hours after treatment.
  • No touching, rubbing, or massaging the treated area for 24 hours.
  • No facials, microdermabrasion, or facial treatments for 14 days.
  • No exercise, saunas, or sun-beds for 24 hours.
  • No alcohol for 24 hours.

What's normal

Effects start subtly between days 3-7 and develop fully over 14 days. Mild headache or heavy-feeling forehead is normal in the first 24-48 hours. Tiny pinprick marks usually fade within an hour.

Foundation Filler (Cheek, Jaw, Chin)

Expect swelling, tenderness, and possible bruising for 3-7 days. Final result visible after 2-4 weeks.

Do

  • Apply a clean cool compress on the day of treatment to reduce swelling.
  • Sleep on your back, elevated, for the first 1-2 nights.
  • Drink plenty of water and eat well to support healing.
  • Use Arnica if bruising appears.

Don't

  • No makeup over the treated area for at least 12 hours.
  • No touching, pressing, or massaging the area for 48 hours unless instructed.
  • No facials or facial treatments for 2 weeks.
  • No flights, saunas, steam rooms, or sun-beds for 48-72 hours.
  • No alcohol or strenuous exercise for 24 hours.

What's normal

Initial swelling can make the area look slightly over-corrected for the first 2-3 days — this is not the final shape. The product takes 2-4 weeks to fully integrate, soften, and settle into a natural appearance.

Filler Dissolve

The treated area will swell substantially for 24-48 hours. This is normal and is the dissolving agent at work.

Do

  • Apply cool compresses to manage swelling.
  • Sleep elevated for the first 1-2 nights.
  • Stay well hydrated.
  • Wait at least 2 weeks before any new filler treatment to allow tissue to settle fully.

Don't

  • No makeup over the area for 12 hours.
  • No facials or massaging the area for 1 week.
  • No flights, saunas, or sun-beds for 48-72 hours.
  • No alcohol or exercise for 24 hours.

What's normal

Significant swelling in the first 24-48 hours is expected and shows the product is working. Once the swelling settles you'll see the dissolved result. A second session is sometimes needed for full removal — we'll review at your follow-up.

PRP Therapy

Expect redness, tenderness, and mild swelling for 24-48 hours. Tiny pinprick marks may be visible briefly.

Do

  • Keep the treated area clean. Rinse gently with cool water if needed.
  • Apply a soothing serum (we'll recommend) the morning after.
  • Drink plenty of water and protect the skin with mineral SPF from day 2.
  • Be patient — collagen response builds over 4-12 weeks.

Don't

  • No makeup, sunscreen, or skincare on treated areas for the first 12 hours.
  • No active skincare (retinol, AHAs, vitamin C) for 5-7 days.
  • No facials, microdermabrasion, or other treatments for 2 weeks.
  • No saunas, steam rooms, hot yoga, or sun exposure for 48 hours.
  • No alcohol or strenuous exercise for 24 hours.

What's normal

Skin may look flushed and feel tight for the first 24-48 hours. Visible pinprick marks usually fade within hours. Real results build over 4-12 weeks as collagen reorganises — a course of 3 sessions spaced 4-6 weeks apart yields the strongest outcome.

Vampire Facial (Microneedling + PRP)

Expect more visible redness and tightness than standalone PRP, settling over 24-72 hours.

Do

  • Leave the skin completely alone for the first 12 hours — no rinsing, no products.
  • From day 1, gentle cleansing with cool water and a recommended soothing serum only.
  • Mineral SPF from day 2 onwards — non-negotiable.
  • Drink water, sleep well, eat foods rich in vitamin C.

Don't

  • Absolutely no makeup or active skincare for 24-48 hours.
  • No retinol, AHAs, BHAs, or vitamin C for 7 days.
  • No saunas, steam rooms, swimming pools, or sun exposure for 5-7 days.
  • No facials or other treatments for 4 weeks.
  • No alcohol or strenuous exercise for 48 hours.

What's normal

Pronounced redness and a 'sandpapery' skin texture for 2-3 days are normal and signs that healing is underway. Mild flaking can occur on day 3-5. Skin appears refreshed by day 7-10, with deeper changes visible at 4-6 weeks.

Microneedling

Expect redness and a sandpaper-like skin texture for 24-72 hours, settling over the week.

Do

  • Leave the skin alone for 12 hours after treatment.
  • Gentle cleansing with cool water from day 1.
  • Mineral SPF from day 2 onwards — your skin is more sensitive to UV for the next 2 weeks.
  • Use only the soothing skincare we recommend until day 7.

Don't

  • No makeup, active skincare, or sunscreen for 24-48 hours.
  • No retinol, AHAs, BHAs, or vitamin C for 7 days.
  • No saunas, steam rooms, hot yoga, or sun exposure for 5-7 days.
  • No facials or other treatments for 4 weeks.
  • No alcohol or strenuous exercise for 48 hours.

What's normal

Redness and warmth are normal and usually peak at 24-48 hours. Mild flaking on day 3-5 is expected. Best results show at 4-6 weeks; a course of 3 sessions spaced 4 weeks apart gives the strongest result.

B12 Injection

A simple injection with minimal aftercare. Some people feel a quick lift in energy within hours, others within days.

Do

  • Drink water and eat normally afterwards.
  • Continue with your normal day — no restrictions.
  • Tell us if you experience any unusual reactions.

Don't

  • No need to avoid alcohol or exercise.
  • Avoid heavy pressure on the injection site for a few hours.

What's normal

Mild soreness or a small bruise at the injection site is normal and resolves within 1-3 days. Energy and clarity changes vary by individual — some notice a difference within hours, others over several days.
