About this treatment

What it does

PRP — platelet-rich plasma — uses your own blood as the active ingredient. A small sample is drawn, spun in a centrifuge to separate out the platelet-rich layer, then reintroduced into the skin or scalp where it needs to do work.

Platelets are the cells your body sends to the site of an injury to coordinate healing. Concentrated and placed precisely, they signal your skin or hair follicles to produce more collagen, stimulate blood supply, and repair more aggressively than they would on their own. Because the only ingredient is you, allergic reactions are not possible.

It's not a quick fix. Results build over weeks and compound across a course of sessions — but for clients seeking firmer, more luminous skin, or a meaningful response to early hair thinning, it's one of the most genuinely regenerative treatments we offer.

Three Treatments

Choose what suits you

PRP can be used to treat the face, the scalp, or both in a single visit. The right choice depends on whether you're after skin quality, hair density, or both — we'll discuss what's most worth your time at consultation.

Vampire Facial

Face · Microneedling + PRP

Microneedling combined with topical PRP, drawn from your own blood. The microneedling creates the channels; the PRP is then applied so it absorbs deeply into the freshly stimulated skin. Best for fine lines, dullness, uneven tone, and overall firmness.

PRP Scalp

Scalp · Hair restoration

PRP is injected directly into the scalp at the level of the hair follicles, where it stimulates dormant follicles and supports thicker, healthier growth. Best for early-to-moderate thinning where follicles are weakened but not lost.

Vampire Facial £200 per session
PRP Scalp £200 per session

All prices are per session. A course of 3-4 sessions is recommended for best results — please ask about course pricing at consultation.

The Journey

From first conversation to settled result

  1. 01

    Consultation & Blood Draw

An honest conversation about whether PRP is right for your concern. If we proceed, a small sample of your blood (around 10-20ml — similar to a routine blood test) is drawn from the arm and spun in the centrifuge for 8-10 minutes.

  2. 02

    Treatment

Numbing cream is applied for 20-30 minutes. For the face: microneedling first, then topical PRP. For the scalp: PRP is delivered via small injections directly into the affected areas. The treatment itself takes 30-45 minutes depending on the area.

  3. 03

    Recovery & Result

Mild redness or tenderness for 24-48 hours is normal. The face will glow within a week; the full collagen response builds over 4-6 weeks. Hair changes are slower — most clients notice reduced shedding around 4-6 weeks, then visible new growth at 3-4 months. Results compound across a course of sessions.

Aftercare in brief

Caring for your result

Avoid washing the treated area for 6-8 hours so the PRP can absorb fully. No makeup or styling products on the treated area for 24 hours. Avoid alcohol, exercise, saunas, and direct sun for 48 hours. Sleep elevated the first night. SPF 50 daily for at least 7 days for facial PRP. For scalp PRP, avoid harsh shampoos for 48 hours. Drink plenty of water and let your body do its work.

Common Questions

You asked, we answered

What's actually in PRP?

Just your own blood, separated. A small sample is taken, spun in a centrifuge for 8-10 minutes, and the platelet-rich plasma layer is drawn off. Nothing is added — no synthetic fillers, no foreign substances. The active ingredient is the concentrated platelets from your own body, which carry the growth factors that signal repair.

How many sessions will I need?

For meaningful results, a course of 3-4 sessions spaced 4-6 weeks apart, with maintenance every 6-12 months. A single session can give a noticeable initial response — but PRP works by accumulation, and a course is significantly more effective than a one-off. We'll be honest at consultation about what one session can and can't deliver.

Does the scalp treatment really regrow hair?

It can — but only on follicles that are still alive. PRP works best on early-to-moderate thinning, where follicles are weakened but not lost. It cannot regrow hair from completely bald or scarred areas. We'll assess your scalp honestly at consultation and tell you if we don't think you're a good candidate.

Why is the combined option cheaper than booking both?

Most of the cost of PRP is the consultation, blood draw, centrifuge cycle, and our time. Once we have your prepared plasma in hand, treating an additional area is a straightforward extension. We pass that saving on rather than charging you twice for the same setup.

Will it hurt?

The blood draw is identical to a routine blood test — a small pinch. The treatment itself is performed under numbing cream and is generally well tolerated. Scalp injections can feel a touch more sensitive than facial work; clients describe it as a brief sting that settles immediately.

What does the downtime look like?

Mild redness and possible swelling for 24-48 hours. For the face, you may also see pinpoint dots from the microneedling for a day or so. For the scalp, mild tenderness is normal. Most clients are back to their normal routine the next day.

Are there any conditions that rule it out?

Yes. PRP isn't suitable if you have certain blood disorders, are on blood-thinning medication, have an active infection, or are immunocompromised. We'll go through your medical history thoroughly at consultation and decline treatment if it isn't right for you.

Can I have it if I'm pregnant or breastfeeding?

No. We don't perform aesthetic treatments during pregnancy or breastfeeding for safety reasons.
