About this treatment
What it does
Lip filler at Legacy is about refinement, not transformation. We use modern hyaluronic acid fillers, placed in small considered amounts, to enhance the shape and definition you already have.
Our preferred result: lips that look softly fuller and more defined, but still recognisably yours. We work in 0.5ml increments, with rest periods between sessions for clients who want to build slowly.
The most common feedback we get a fortnight later isn't 'I love how big they are' — it's 'no one's noticed, they just keep telling me I look well.' That's the result we're going for.
The Journey
From first conversation to settled result
- 01
Consultation
An unhurried 30-minute conversation. We listen, look at your lips at rest and animated, and discuss what you actually want. We share what we'd suggest — and what we wouldn't — and confirm the exact cost before any agreement.
- 02
Treatment
Numbing cream is applied for 20 minutes. The injection itself takes 15-20 minutes. We work slowly, checking in throughout, with mirrors at every stage so you can see the work as it happens.
- 03
Recovery & Result
Initial swelling settles over 24-72 hours. The final, settled result is visible at 2 weeks. We always offer a complimentary review at the 2-week mark to check the result and answer any questions.

Common Questions
You asked, we answered
Will it look obvious?
Not the way we do it. We work in small increments and our preferred result is subtle. If you'd prefer something more dramatic, we'll have an honest conversation about that — and refer you elsewhere if it isn't suited to our style.
How much filler will I need?
Most first-time clients start with 0.5ml or 1ml. Confirmed at consultation based on your existing lip shape, the result you want, and how your lips respond. We never up-sell volume.
Will it hurt?
Mild discomfort. We apply numbing cream for 20 minutes before, and modern fillers contain anaesthetic. Most clients describe it as a quick pinch.
How long until I can wear lipstick?
12 hours. Then the rest of your normal routine from day 2.
What if I don't like it?
Filler can be safely dissolved with hyaluronidase if needed. We always wait at least 2 weeks for the final result to settle before considering this — early swelling is not the final outcome.
Can I have a treatment if I'm pregnant or breastfeeding?
No. We don't perform aesthetic treatments during pregnancy or breastfeeding for safety reasons.
