Forehead
Horizontal lines
The horizontal lines that appear when you raise your brows. Usually treated alongside the frown for the most balanced result, as the muscle groups work together.
Anti-Wrinkle

About this treatment
Anti-wrinkle treatment uses small doses of botulinum toxin to relax the muscles that create dynamic lines on the upper face. The lines you see when you frown, raise your brows, or smile become softer — the lines you see at rest, formed over years of repeated movement, are given a chance to fade.
Done well, the result should be quiet. You should still be able to express yourself fully, just without the deep set creases that make you look tired or cross when you're not. We dose conservatively, especially on first appointments, because it's far easier to add a touch more at a top-up than it is to wait three months for too much to wear off.
If you've been put off by friends who looked frozen or surprised after their treatment, that isn't the natural outcome of botulinum toxin — it's the outcome of overdosing it. The standard at Legacy is restraint.
The Three Areas
There are three classical areas of the upper face. You can treat two together, or all three for the full effect. We'll discuss what suits you at consultation — the right choice depends on which lines bother you, what your face does at rest, and how your muscles respond.
Horizontal lines
The horizontal lines that appear when you raise your brows. Usually treated alongside the frown for the most balanced result, as the muscle groups work together.
Between the brows · "the 11s"
The vertical lines between the brows formed by the muscles you use when concentrating, squinting, or frowning. Often the first area to develop visible lines and the most commonly treated.
Around the eyes
The fine lines that fan out from the outer corner of the eye when you smile. Treated subtly to soften the lines while preserving the warmth of a genuine smile.

The Journey
We assess your face at rest and animated, listen to what bothers you, and recommend a tailored approach. We'll often start lower than other clinics — you can always add more, you can't take it back.
Several small injections, depending on the areas treated. The needle is very fine and most clients describe each injection as a brief pinch. The whole appointment, including consultation, takes around 15-20 minutes.
No downtime. The product takes 3-7 days to begin working and 14 days to settle fully. A top-up may be required 10-14 days after your first treatment for £30 if anything needs adjustment.
The Details
Aftercare in brief
Do not consume excessive alcohol for 24 hours. Avoid exercise for 1-2 days. Do not massage the treated areas. No facial massages, facials or excessive pressure for 1 week. Avoid going to sleep for at least 4 hours after your procedure and try to sleep on your back the night of treatment. Mineral-based makeup may be used straight after. Avoid sunbeds, saunas, steam rooms and hot baths for 3-4 days.
Common Questions
Not the way we treat. Frozen is a sign of too much product, not the natural outcome of botulinum toxin. We dose conservatively, especially on first appointments, and would much rather you came back at 2 weeks for a top-up than start with too much. Most clients still have full expression — just without the deep lines.
The cost of a treatment is mostly the consultation, the appointment time, and the product unit cost. The product scales — but consultation and time don't, so adding a third area is significantly cheaper than booking it separately. The per-area cost drops as you add more.
Our 2 and 3 area packages cover the full upper face — but if you only want a single targeted treatment, our Lip Flip and Brow Lift treatments at £50 each are designed for exactly that. They use the same product, in a single specific area. We'll discuss what suits you at consultation.
The most common starting point is forehead and frown together, because the two muscle groups work in concert and treating one without the other can feel slightly heavy. Adding crow's feet for the third area completes the upper face. We'll discuss what's right for you at consultation.
Three to four months for most clients. Some metabolise it faster, some slower. With regular treatment every 3-4 months the muscles tend to weaken slightly over time, and many people find they can space appointments further apart after a year or two.
We don't treat under 21s. From your mid-twenties onwards, small preventative doses can be a thoughtful approach if you have visible dynamic lines or strong family history. We won't recommend treatment you don't need, and we'll tell you honestly if we don't think it's the right time yet.
No. We don't perform aesthetic treatments during pregnancy or breastfeeding for safety reasons.
